What is inside
Six damascus blades, presented in a 27.5 centimetre gift case. It is the format you give away: nothing to choose, nothing to match, the case goes straight on the table.
The exact composition of the six pieces is not documented by the maker. We are not guessing it: it will be published when the sample arrives, and the set is not on sale before then.
The steel
AUS10 damascus, a Japanese high carbon stainless steel, hardened to 60 HRc plus or minus 2. The spine is 2 millimetres, which is thin for a set at this price, and the handles are stated as red sandalwood.
These are the maker’s figures. We republish them as they are and we will check them on the sample, because a three hundred euro set is not sold on an assumption.
What it asks for
The same care as any hard blade: no dishwasher, no bones, no glass board. A pass on a stone every two or three months, 1000 then 3000, and all six edges come back.

Frequently asked
Which six pieces are in the set?
The maker states six damascus knives without detailing the composition. We will publish it once the sample is in hand, and the set is not on sale before that.
What steel are these blades?
AUS10 damascus, hardened to 60 HRc plus or minus 2, with a 2 millimetre spine. That is what the maker documents.
Are the handles real wood?
The maker states red sandalwood. As with the composition, we check it on the sample before confirming it.
Does it work as a gift?
That is its main use, and it ships in its gift case. Note that handing over a knife still requires the age check made at checkout.
Is the whetstone included?
No. It is added to the cart separately, and it is strongly advised: a Japanese edge is restored on a stone, not on a steel.
Are your knives made in Japan?
No. The blades are forged in China, in workshops specialised in damascus steel. The style and geometry are Japanese, the manufacturing is not.
A blade needs upkeep
A 15 degree edge is restored on a stone, not on a steel. Ours is built for that angle.
